AB Phylline N Tablet is used to treat and prevent asthma and symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (a lung disorder in which the flow of air to the lungs is blocked) such as coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath. It helps relax the muscles of the air passages thereby making it easier to breathe. AB Phylline N Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. The most common side effects are vomiting, heartburn, stomach upset, rash, itching, breathing difficulty, and nasal inflammation. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as that may cause excessive drowsiness. They work by relaxing the muscles of these airways. This makes it easier for air to get in and out. This medicine also loosens thick mucus, making it easier to cough out. It will relieve symptoms such as tightness in your chest, shortness of breath, wheezing, and coughing and help you carry out your daily activities more easily. This medicine is safe and effective. It usually starts to work within a few minutes and the effects can last up to several hours. Take it as prescribed by the doctor. Do not stop using it unless you are advised to by your doctor.

Benefits

AB Phylline N Tablet is a combination of two medicines : Acebrophylline and Acetylcysteine. Acebrophylline is a mucolytic and bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles of the airways and also thins and loosens mucus, making it easier to breathe. Acetylcysteine is a mucolytic medication. It thins and loosens mucus (phlegm) making it easier to cough out.

How to use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. AB Phylline N Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
